Occupational health | As we know, the Industrial Era started in the nineteenth 19th, or 20th centuries. During working in industries workers get injuries and injuries are fatal to health. In the 20th century, diseases like lung cancer, lack of breathiness, and cancer, originate these diseases.  While working in industries or factories chemical exposure, and long hours working can cause illness. As time passes, the industries and factories grow in numbers, the number of employees increases, and disease increases.

According to the World Health Organization, in recent years there have been over 170 million people recorded illness due to occupational health services.in 2019, almost five thousand people were recorded as sick due to working in industries. In 2024, there is a record of most of the people who failed their lives due to injuries. In 1974 the Health Safety Act was published in the United States. According to this act worker who is sick due to chemical exposure the staff can give him different packages like six months off, an advance 2 months’ salary, and a medical bill sponsored by them. 

Definition:

The term refers to taking care of physical, mental, social, and emotional fitness, at the time of place while working is known as occupational health or safety.  It is abbreviated as OH.

It promotes the fitness and well-being of employees.

There are four types of occupational safety or health:

  1. Physical 
  2. Chemical
  3. Biological 
  4. Ergonomic

Chemical Hazardous:

Chemical hazards include chemical exposure, and toxic chemicals, that are used in different industries and factories like smoke, polluted water released from industries, a smog released from factories are injurious to the health of workers and employees.

The physical risks arise from using harmful machines and techniques noise causes hearing loss, fever, and high blood pressure, and radiation from the direct sun is harmful to human health. It includes muscle disorders or diseases.

Biological:

It includes viruses, fungi mold, and medicines for insect bites that are harmful to the health of humans and workers.

Ergonomic Hazardous:

It provides strain stress depression to over body. A person falls into short-term memory loss stress conditions. Due to this purpose, worker’s health is harmed by these processes

Overall, according to my point of view, occupational health is not only advantageous for the health of workers and employees but also promotes our society it brings our society toward the path of success. Occupational healthcare services protect workers from every type of hazard whether physical, mental, emotional, or as well as social. It not only provides healthcare services but also provides the safety of employees,  and reduces the cost.
