Empowering the students of Al Qadir University
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a special initiative to provide laptops, scholarships, and e-bikes to the students of Al-Qadir University. The move is part of its vision to empower the youth with better education and development resources.
CM Honaar Scholarship Program
- Launched in the Okara division, this scholarship aims to support talented but underprivileged students.
- A total of 1,438 students from Okara will receive scholarships worth over Rs72.9 million.
- Beneficiary universities include:
- University of Okara
- University of Sahiwal
- University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences

Chief Minister Maryam also distributed Core i7 laptops among the students, ensuring that they have access to modern equipment for education. He also announced plans to build a medical college, a girls’ hostel, and an underpass at Okara.

Asaan Karobar Finance Programme

- This Asan Loan Scheme is designed to help SMEs by providing interest-free loans to entrepreneurs.
- Loans range from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 3 crore, with repayment in easy installments.
- The scheme includes the Easy Business Finance Card, which makes it easier for small business owners to access loans.
- Empower students with resources like laptops, scholarships, and e-bikes.
- Support SMEs to strengthen Punjab’s economy.
- Develop infrastructure to improve education and public welfare in Okara.
